Kodak printers - There’s a great deal to buying an low-priced printer than just looking at the sticker price. In the end, you’ll end up spending a lot more on the ink than you will on the printer. That’s why it makes sense to select this new Kodak EasyShare 5300 all-in-one printer which uses super low-cost ink to help you save up to 50% on everything you print compared to other consumer inkjet systems.
Key Features
-Print more. Pay less.
-Print, copy, scan, and more
-Kodak quality prints and documents from home
The Kodak EasyShare 5300 permits you to create lab-quality pictures that last a lifetime in as fast as 28 seconds and black text documents at 32 pages per minute. Mixed black/color text documents print as quickly as 30 pages per minute. It has a 3,840 nozzle dual drop print head for spectacularly clear photo resolution prints and a high-quality CCD scanner to assure scans come through with crystal-clear resolution.
The EasyShare 5300 also has Bluetooth connectivity so you can print pictures right away from your Bluetooth-capable camera phone through PictBridge technology and the printer even supports double-sided printing for economical paper use.
First impressions of the EasyShare 5300 are good. Its white and silver case makes it look great and innovative. A Kodak-yellow key-line beneath the scanner lid compliments the EasyShare logo which shows on the large, 76mm LCD display behind the control panel on the right-hand side. In front of the display are 17, well-furnished buttons ordered in groups and in varying sizes to show their importance. The Scan, Photo and Copy mode buttons are lit so you recognize which is selected. In the front panel are two slots for memory cards and beneath that are two USB sockets, so you can, for instance, install the optional Bluetooth adapter in one and still have the second useable for connecting a PictBridge camera or a memory drive.
The paper tray can accept up to 100 sheets of plain paper and has an inset in its top side surface for an additonal 20 sheets of 15 x 10cm photo paper in an inbuilt tray. You push in or pull out this tray to choose among the two paper sources.
Setting up the printer involves raising the main scanner part and clipping the permanent print head into place on its cartridge carrier. You then put the black and color inks into place. There are two main pieces of software added with the machine: AiO Home Centre and EasyShare. Between the two of them they grant photo housekeeping and simple operations to print to and scan from the 5300. EasyShare itself tenders basic photo editing and can be used to add simple effects.
Printing on the EasyShare 5300 is quite snappy especially when printing photos. A 15 x 10cm print takes around 45 seconds from either memory card or PictBridge camera and fairly over a minute from a PC onto an A4 sheet.
