slr camera diagram

SLR camera diagram - Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi offers an unbeatable combination of performance, ease-of-use and value. The Digital Rebel XTi is proof positive that Canon continues to lead the way with our phenomenal digital SLRs.

DIGIC II Image Processor

Information captured by the CMOS sensor is processed and assembled into images of exceptional quality. With the DIGIC II Image Processor on board, photographers can expect natural color reproduction, precise white balance in any number of lighting situations, and unparalleled clarity. The DIGIC II Image Processor employs sophisticated signal processing algorithms and works at greater speeds, all while consuming less energy.

10.1-Megapixel APS-C Size CMOS Sensor

Canon’s large-area CMOS sensor captures images with exceptional clarity and tonal range and offers the most pixels in its class. This APS-C size sensor (22.2 x 14.8mm) has the same 3:2 ratio as film cameras enabling an effective angle of view that is 1.6x the normal EF lens focal length.

Display Off Sensor

This new sensor detects the photographer’s face against the back panel of the camera, and turns the screen off to prevent the LCD monitor’s brightness from disturbing the photographer’s eye while looking through the viewfinder.

Speedy Operation

With a startup time of 0.2 seconds, the EOS Digital Rebel XTi is ready to go the instant it’s brought to the eye. And the Digital Rebel XTi’s shutter can record images as fast as 1/4000 seconds and as long as 30 seconds, plus bulb at up to 3 frames per second (fps) for 27 consecutive shots.

Responsive and Reliable

The EOS Digital Rebel XTi has a brilliant 2.5-inch LCD monitor with approximately 230,000 pixels. Shooting information and playback are both displayed on the LCD so that the photographer can see all of the shooting information simultaneously on one screen.

Customer Reviews

My Canon Digital Rebel XTi combines the creative enjoyment I experienced with my 35mm SLRs in the past with the convenience and versatility of digital cameras. Anyone from beginner through professional photographer will be pleased with its myriad capabilities and ease of use: beginners can start with the “automatic” functions and developed their skills as they experiment with the vast creative features and functions of the Rebel XTi. - Grebe Byrd

By the time, I am writing this review, I have captured more than 10K pictures on this lovely camera. It takes superb pictures. The picture quality is stunning. I highly recommend buying Canon external Flash for better indoor shoots and Canon EF 70-200mm F4L USM lens for stunning pictures. Value for money and once you get used to DSLR, its hard moving back to point and shoot.
Great camera.  - DM

I could not be more pleased! For some one that is a little more than a novice this camera is simply excellent!!! High-quality photographs and easy to use. I did eventually replace the lens with an 18-55mm IS lens that is a better quality lens but the kit lens is ok for initial use (I also bought other IS lenses for it). The camera is light weight and takes truly outstanding photographs when used with good quality lenses. Considering the overall cost, I could not recommend it more! - J. Johnson

LASIK and iLASIK - The Difference

September 15th, 2008 · No Comments · My Reviews

If you have heard about LASIK information then how about iLASIK? For those who haven’t heard about LASIK (Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusi) then let me refresh you. It is type of refractive laser eye surgery or a vision correction procedure performed by ophthalmologists for correcting myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism (blurring of one’s vision).

The difference between LASIK and iLASIK

iLASIK procedure uses two laser instead of one (LASIK). Wave-front technology maps the unique characteristics of the person’s eyes during the first stage of iLASIK. Then a super fast, computer-aided laser creates a corneal flap. There are two ways to make this flap: a blade or the IntraLase FS laser. The iLASIK procedure EXCLUSIVELY uses the IntraLase laser which makes iLASIK vision correction unique. Then the wave-front mapping data guides a second laser for vision correction after the flap is created.

About 32 million LASIK operations have been performed to date making it the most common elective vision procedure in the U.S. In fact, all-laser form of LASIK technology has been tapped by the Department of Defense (DOD) and NASA to improve the vision of specialized personnel facing extreme, physically demanding conditions.

What you expect during the iLASIK operation

1. You ARE AWAKE during the operation but you may be given medication to relax.
2. Your eyes will be numbed with drops and YOU MOST LIKELY WON’T FEEL A THING during the procedure.
3. BOTH EYES are treated during the same visit.
4. It takes less than 10 MINUTES per eye.
