This is an excellent device. It functions well in every room of our house and even functions well several hundred feet away from the house. There have been no troubles with interference. Other intercoms we’ve utilized have interference from our neighbors even though they live several hundred feet away. I handed the devices to my aging hard-of-hearing parents for Christmas. I chose the wireless intercoms over the type that utilize electrical cables because I felt they would be more pliable to use and I heard so many horror stories about how the other type failed without paying really big bucks for a professional system. I bought 3 units and they operate well for us. I have 2 units in kid’s bedrooms on AC power and the 3rd in the kitchen on batteries for portability. The voice is clear and set-up and use is very simple. The most beneficial thing about these units is the VOX answer option. I have this option turned on in the kid’s room and they simply have to answer back when I speak to them first without having to push the “talk” button. This is very convenient when you are talking to a 3 yr. old that doesn’t quite understand how to utilize this. I tied a large, very thin magnet on the back of my kitchen unit and I keep it on my fridge but I can take it with me to other parts of the house if necessary. - Gadget Mom
