Garmin GPS Units - The Garmin’s nüvi 750 brings in two exciting new features — “Where am I?/Where’s my car?” and multi-destination routing. As with all nüvis, you get the fast satellite lock of an integrated high-sensitivity receiver, Garmin reliability, a slim, pocket-sized design with a beautiful display, elaborate NAVTEQ maps for the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico with more than six million name-searchable POIs, and an easy, intuitive interface. It also feature a rich array of features including an MP3 player and photo viewer, spoken directions in actual street names, an FM transmitter that will play MP3s, audio books, voice prompts, and more, right away through your vehicle’s stereo system. The nüvi 750 has integrated traffic receivers and Bluetooth capacity for hands-free calling.

Multi-Destination Routing

This lets you enter several spots into the device and it will plot the fastest route. And once you’ve determined the nearest route, the “Route Planning” feature lets you save up to 10 different routes. A trip log provides an electronic bread crumb trail of up to 10,000 points so you can see where you’ve been on the map.

Where Am I? Where’s My Car?

The nüvi 750 is the first to respond two common questions: “Where am I?” and “Where’s my car?” At any moment, with one tap of the screen, drivers can display their exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the closest address and crossroad, and the nearest hospitals, police stations and gas stations. And to aid drivers find their car in an unknown location or vast parking lot. The nüvi 750 automatically note the position in which it was last taken from the mount.

Easy To Use Interface

Garmin’s interface is a key to their success and one of the things that makes their devices such a joy to use. Simple controls and sub-screens make it easy to enter or seek for addresses and get data about your trip.

See Better, See More

The super-clear, 4.3-inch touchscreen display yields an anti-glare for ease of viewing throughout the day and automatically shifts its color profile for easy viewing at night or in dim light. The widescreen format gives you 70% more actual screen area than a 3.5-inch display. Mainly this means a better view of the area through which you are driving. This is particularly useful in presenting you what parks, restaurants, ATM, police stations, etc. are nearby, or in letting you recognize whether a detour is a right choice. Also, the device itself is larger, meaning controls on the display are more widely spaced and somewhat easy to press.

First Rate Map Database

Nüvi 750 comes preloaded with extremely detailed City Navigator NT road maps for the entire U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. This map database has nearly 6 million points of interest (POIs), including hospitals, restaurants, police stations, ATMs, and attractions. Garmin gets its map data from NAVTEQ, a world leader in premium-quality mapping.
