I have not used this unit underwater yet which is the chief intention for which I have purchased it but I have taken some land-based test snapshots and used the video feature to capture a short video. It has a lot of features such as presets for landscapes, etc. and is easy to use (Well, as easy as anything digital nowadays). Photos are crisp and crystal-clear and the device is pretty rugged considering the inexpensive price. I would highly recommend this to anybody searching for a pretty rugged little camera they can take along on a hike or motorcycle ride and be able to shoot in the rain or underwater without worry. - J. I was a little hesitant to immerse this sturdy little camera below the waves. I had a few shots with it outside away from the water. There was some noise in low light situations and the shadows bear from that the most. When I tried it underwater it really shined. The colors were crisp and it picked up some fine details. I am very happy with this purchase and can’t wait to capture those pictures of the sharks in Hawaii now! P.S. Make sure you read the manual carefully. - Gary Fryns

I’ve needed an underwater digital camera for quite some time now but it was invariably costly. Went searching just a month before my latest cruise only to discover this unit. Read the reviews, looked at the specs and the price and saw it was worth the shot. Turns out I was correct. I was pleased with how all my pictures turned out both in the water and out including the video I had. I would also highly recommend taking the time studying the instructions so that you don’t risk troubles down the line as it involves some minor cleaning and such after use in the water. I purchased this for coming cruise. I like to snorkel and plotted on doing some underwater photography. I acquired this so I did not have to get film developed. I am very delighted I did. It accepts the SD memory card and I was able to take a lot of pictures. It functioned really well. It is actually better than my “land” camera for indoor pictures. I had no issues at all with water seeping in. Because I used it for snorkeling, I really did not take it too far underwater. The zoom appeared to function well for a “digital zoom”. - P. Patterson
