This device permits your child to explore and cultivate their creative streak which is ideal for ages 3 to 6 years. The digital camera has fat bumper handles great for little hands, big buttons for manageability, a double viewfinder and a 1.8-inch color LCD screen for easy object alignment, and 2 exchangeable face plates so kids can make it their own. The Kidizoom is able to shoot up to 120 still images or up to 5 minutes of video thanks to its 16MB internal memory or an optional SD card. You can plug the device into a PC or the family TV with the included cable once pictures are captured or motion is filmed. From there kids can crop their images, give photos crazy effects, bestow wacky frames, or see their video footage.

I bought this for my 5 year old and he loves the games. It didn’t take him long to picture out how to use it, although, we did not take any video with it yet. We took it on vacation with us and it survived being dropped. It is better to turn off the flash for most pictures as told in another review. Overall, a truly nice camera. Although the 3 yrs. old surely enjoyed the camera I discovered that the parents and grandparents enjoyed it even more. It got passed from person to person while the kid opened more gifts. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 4-yrs. old nephew. He’s a pretty bright child and was able to picture out the controls with very little help. He chose this as his favorite Christmas gift! I gave this to my four year old granddaughter. She has been into shooting pictures with her parents and my camera for a while. (I hold my breath every time my granddaughter uses it).
